IC Foundation

The mission of İbrahim Çeçen Foundation is to contribute to solving the education and health problems in Turkey and elevating culture and welfare. In line with this mission, Ağrı, where İbrahim Çeçen, the founder of IC Holding, was born and raised, has been selected as a pilot province. The İbrahim Çeçen Foundation carries out activities in partnership with various organizations and institutions to contribute to the solution of problems in Turkey.

IC İbrahim Çeçen Foundation has been supporting young athletes in various branches through sports scholarships since 2005 to encourage the youth toward sports. The Foundation also provides sponsorship support for various local and national sports events.

Within the scope of educational investments, the following schools have been built and donated to the Turkish education system:

İbrahim Çeçen Primary School in Ağrı started education in 1986 with 25 classrooms for 1400 children.
Nezahat Çeçen Primary School in Erzincan started education in 1992;
Ağrı İbrahim Çeçen University was inaugurated in 2009 to provide higher education, initially aiming for 20,000 students.

Among İbrahim Çeçen’s contributions to the Turkish education system, Ağrı İbrahim Çeçen University, which started education in the 2009-2010 academic year stands apart. The university, donated in full to the state, celebrates its tenth anniversary in the 2017-2018 academic year.

İbrahim Çeçen Scholarships

İbrahim Çeçen, who greatly valued the importance of education, granted scholarships to thousands of students from 1987 up to the establishment of the IC Foundation. In the 2017-2018 academic year, 2,185 university students benefit from non-repayable scholarships. Following the foundation’s establishment, scholarships continue to be awarded to successful students with limited financial means across Turkey.

As part of an event, June 2006 marked the launch of a philanthropic project, which resulted in 106 scholarships awarded to undergraduate and graduate students by bringing charitable individuals and organizations together with students with limited financial means.

The ongoing project brings volunteers who do not know how to reach the students in need with students selected according to criteria they set:

Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) Trainings: The scope of the NGO trainings was civil society and volunteering, philanthropy and civil society movements.
Civil society and volunteering, philanthropy and civil society movements.
Vocational Training Courses: İbrahim Çeçen Foundation organizes vocational training courses to generate solutions for unemployment, which is among the biggest issues in the pilot province Ağrı.
Personal Development Seminars: Several seminars have been held to contribute to the personal development of scholarship students.
Foreign Language Courses And Higher Education Preparation Courses: İbrahim Çeçen Foundation partners with various institutions at certain intervals to give students a chance to attend foreign language courses.
Internships: Every year, İbrahim Çeçen Foundation offers internship opportunities to prepare successful students for professional life and contribute to their personal development.
